Rihanna’s Third Collaboration with Fenty Puma
Bad Gal Riri stunned fashion lovers with her third Fenty Puma Collection for fall 2017, which was showcased, excitingly enough, at the Paris’ BibliothèqueNationale de France. The long tables of the library were revamped into a glamorous runways, and the models graced the catwalks with pleated tennis dresses, shorts, track pants and much more. Rihanna’s latest new collection is an utter delight for school-going girls, high school punks and gothic beauties.
Rihanna shared her thoughts about the inspirations that drove her to create this collection saying,
“In Barbados, we don’t get to dress up in school,” It’s strictly school uniforms. Every time I would come to America, I would see kids getting into dressing up…this was my way of expressing myself in that avenue, having fun, creating looks that blended with the different cliques and marrying that world with sport.”
According to the glam queen, this collection gave her an opportunity to relive her time at school and play around with all the patterns, trends and hues that she wasn’t allowed to flaunt at school. And the collection was filled with energetic vibrancy, and heaps of bright hues. Rihanna created a little something for every single high school style archetypes, from the bad girls, skater girls, nerdy girls, and goth girls to the more conservative girls.
There were heaps of amazingly baggy silhouettes, like oversized bottoms, billowy jackets and loose hoodies, and then, for the body-hugging fit addicts, there were plenty of body suits with flared legs and plunging V-necks, above-the-knee velour track shorts, rib-knit cropped sweaters that revealed a great deal more than just the midriff, and ribbed midi dresses with lacing. While fashionistas will fall in love with the cropped pullover, the lace hoodie and cheeky crop tank.
